This place attracts you with the playground and other features but do not judge this book by it's cover. The wait is ridiculous and there are appointments are booked so that there is about ten families waiting at once. When my child had insurance provided by my employment, there were not any surgical procedures to be done. However, when I lost my job and began receiving benefits, upon her next visit she was immediately set up for dental surgery. I trusted their word that it would be fine and was in the best interest for her because she had cavities on her upper teeth as a result of breastfeeding. He swore that he does this all the time and she would have beautiful teeth. He wasn't lying about doing these procedures all the time. Evidently he has 2-3 procedures 2-3 times out of the week. I believe he taking advantage of insurance payouts and working on children and teeth that unnecessary. So, I was under the impression that he would replace her upper teeth with crowns but when she came out of surgery, not only was it her upper but also her top back two on both sides and bottom back two on both sides. As soon as she was in my lap, she was crying and trying to put her hands in her mouth due to the extreme amount of anesthesia she was given and then I noticed blood coming from her swollen mouth. I asked the nurse to call the dr/dentist back and when he returned, he briefly took a look and said one of the top was loose and to just keep her on the diet advised to prevent any further injury. Well, that afternoon after leaving, I put her to bed to rest and she wakes up telling me it came out. I call the dentist and am told to go up to the office before they close. I took him the tooth and he said there was nothing else he could do. She was scared to go back to that dentist as well he left her mouth looking like she had been punched by grown man in the mouth. A couple of months down the road, she loses another one of the crowns on the top teeth. Due to her eating she has now lost another tooth on top. This is how my daughter is going to school and taking pictures. We have made sure to keep her happy every time with the Tooth Fairy and I know she is beautiful no matter what, but I as a mother see how it affects my angel. She tries to hide her smile in pictures... What makes it worse is that she recently lost her real bottom tooth that had no problems. Now that tooth is growing back in and has a dark yellow shade on it. I made an appointment with our new dentist and was told that happens when there is trauma to the mouth. Dark or discolored teeth are usually caused by nerve damage. Now I can only pray this doesn't happen to her other teeth. I recommend Children's Dentistry of Abilene. They are super nice there, the wait is like 30 mins or less, tablets on the chairs w/ games for the children, play area table for toddlers, Flatscreen Tv's mounted for the parents along with a neat coffee machine that I always enjoy along with the relaxing view of the creek outside. One more thing that I appreciate, is they don't give my daughter an ice cream after cleaning her teeth with fluoride. I am posting her before surgery pics and the after affect within one year, I know she is not the only one out there that this is happening to.

  • Awesome place to take your children. The staff are so nice and they take really good care of your kids. They upgraded the building really nicely so it's really fun inside with a park, movie area, and games for your kids. My son loves coming here and the Dentists are very friendly as well. Highly recommend this Dentistry!

If you like sitting around for 1-1.5 hours with nothing to do but a bunch of broken video games for your children. I would have thought things would be different after five visits. There goes wishful thinking

Terrible customer service. Won't let you know until after procedure that insurance isn't covering the work. Every dental office does this ahead of time. Not here.
